am on 15.10 mate and using ms rdc ( for ease ) and all good for most things BUT when I try to run Kodi nothing happens.
#Kodi unable to create gui how to#
#Kodi unable to create gui install#
To understand the context I've build a tiny passive cooled HTPC with AMD APU with vega Graphics (amdgpu driver) and i want to install kodi/steam client and some dockers, as the only GUI apps will be kodi and steam client (both run in full screen mode) i have installed the console only Debian 10 and Xorg (no windows manager needed as stated above they both run fullscreen). Team Kodi will consider your problem report however, we will not make any promises the problem will be solved.I have some trouble setting up a HTPC with Debian 10 (k5.4) and as i'm not a linux expert i wonder if can anybody help me with some questions.

I am very sorry if this is not the right place where to report Flatpack version of your software but there seems to be no other. This being a Flatpack I don't even know where to look for log files :( It would be nice to fix this too and provide better detection what windowing system is actually running. I figured that only by reading you shell startup file. This can be fixed by setting environmental variable WINDOWING to "x11".

Here is a clear and concise description of what the problem is:īecause openSUSE/PackMan does not currently provide latest Kodi version, that is recently released version 18 Leia I decided to give a Flatpack a try and installed Kodi from:Īfter installation it initially refused to start because it looked for Wayland display server, but I'm using X11.
